HCMC, October 25th, 2020 – “This school is as big as the world: open your eyes and you’ll get advanced!” This is just one of the universal messages taken from the fairytales of Gianni Rodari presented to Ho Chi Minh City’s children and families in a Sunday-afternoon reading session co-host by the Consulate General of Italy and Kim Dong Publishing House, which translated in Vietnamese and published several book of the famous Italian writer, whose centenary is celebrated this year.
On an interactive occasion opened by Consul General Dante Brandi, the famous children’s entertainer Dinh Toan alternated with Chiara Brandi and Huyen Trang in reading the most famous tales by Gianni Rodari to a large audience of children and families, gathered in the enchanting Book Street, the pedestrian street in the city center that hosts numerous bookshops and hosts reading and literary events in the most populous city in Vietnam.
The event closed the celebrations of the XX edition of the Week of the Italian Language in Ho Chi Minh City.
