The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has established three awards aimed at Italian and foreign distinguished researchers and innovators who have promoted science and technology in international cooperation.
The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City invite you to submit applications for the following awards.
“Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation” Award
Now at its 7th edition, the award is addressed to 65-year-old or younger Italian researchers, with at least 10 years of post-doctoral experience, who have distinguished themselves abroad (and specifically in Vietnam) for the excellence of the results of their work and the ability to promote bilateral cooperation between Italy and Vietnam in science and technology.

“Innovation that Speaks Italian” Award
Now at its 7th edition, the award is addressed to technological start-ups of high innovative value founded by Italian citizens who trained in Italy and operating abroad (specifically in Vietnam), that have built their business thanks to their scientific and technological skills. Particular attention will be paid to the innovation potential, with reference to the state of the art both in the host country and internationally.

Science, She Says!” Award
Now at its 3nd edition, the award is addressed to young female scientists who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of science and technology. The candidate must be under 40 years of age on 6 June 2025. One prize will be awarded for each of the following regions: Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Central and South America and the Caribbean, and North America.

The deadline for submissions in Vietnam is January 20, 2025. Applications should be submitted by e-mail to culturale.hanoi@esteri.it.
The awards, consisting of a medal and a diploma from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will be presented during the 2025 Conference of Scientific Attachés serving the network of Italian Embassies around the world (Italy, Spring 2025 – Exact city and date TBD).
