HCMC, 6 November 2020 – Building on the knowledge from the past to shape the future of Vietnam. This is the spirit that inspired the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the University of Economics and Law of HCMC (UEL), a component of the Vietnam National University(VNU) network.
The ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc and by Consul General Dante Brandi, gave also the opportunity to inaugurate the garden of statues, where the busts of twenty important personalities of all times are permanently displayed, in recognition of their contribution to the development of the legal and economic civilisation.
Three of the busts, those of the Emperor Justinian, the mathematician Luca Pacioli and the economist Vilfredo Pareto, were installed with the support of the Consulate General of Italy at HCMC, for the benefit of present and future generations of students of the prestigious city university.
