HCMC – 13 August 2020 – Cinema as a privileged channel to foster the Vietnamese-Italian cultural relations. This was the main takeaway of the meeting held by Consul General Dante Brandi with the visionary and renowned filmmakers Nghia Vu Minh and Thy Pham Hoang Minh, authors of the short movie MÂY NHU’NG KHÔNG MU’A (Live in Cloud Cuckoo Land), selected to participate to the forthcoming 77th Venice International Film Festival, in the Orizzonti section.
The meeting, at the presence also of artist, singer and educator Thanh Bui, co-founder of the recently established Capital Studio, was an effective occasion to discuss about Italian-Vietnamese relations in the field of culture, especially cinema.
After the success of “The Third Wife”, by Vietnamese director Ash Mayfair at the recent 17th edition of Asian Film Festival in Rome, Italy and the Biennale of Venice set themselves as another international and prestigious stage for contemporary Vietnamese filmmaking.
