HCMC – April, 20th 2018 – Follow your dreams and learn to meaningfully recreate the culture you belong to. This is the main message delivered by Stefano Dominella, Chairman of Maison Gattinoni Couture, the Italian iconic fashion brand for haute-couture, during his masterclass at the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City this morning, to an audience of more than 40 Vietnamese young designers and fashion experts.
Stefano Dominella is visiting Ho Chi Minh City to take part to the sixth edition of the Vietnamese International Fashion Week, which will be closed this Sunday 22 April by a fashion show of Maison Gattinoni Couture. In his inspirational speech, Mr Dominella has evoked the origins of the modern Italian fashion industry and its development along the last decades. He also touched upon the fashion governance institutions in Italy, which support a crucial sector for the Italian economy (4 percent of the total GDP, with 70 percent of the revenues originating by export).
Opened by Consul General Dante Brandi as part of the celebrations for the 45th Anniversary of Italy-Vietnam relations, the seminar has offered a vivid testimony of the potential for a growing and evolving fashion industry in Vietnam.
