HCMC – April 24, 2018 – The iconic Maison Gattinoni has been testimonial for the “Made in Italy” at the Vietnam International Fashion Week.
On Sunday 22 April, in the majestic Nguyen Du Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Gattinoni showcased its Gattinoni Couture collection, designed by Guillermo Mariotto, creative director of the Italian maison. With a dreamlike inspiration, where reality meets the haute couture, the collection has been enriched by jewels designed by Gianni De Benedittis, creative designer of futuroRemoto brand. The Gattinoni fashion show has been the closing event of the Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW ss2018): the perfect celebration for the success of this sixth edition, with more than 650 people in the audience and 34 Asiatic media platforms. Ms H’Hen Nie, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, and famous Vietnamese actresses walked the runway for Gattinoni, along with the Italian Consul General Dante Brandi, dressed in a black robe and black velvet slippers to add a touch of irony.
In the closing party, hosted by the Italian Consulate General of Italy in an iconic Saigoneer sky-bar, all the protagonists of the Vietnam International Fashion Week, including the Chairwoman Ms Trang Lee, Mr Stefano Dominella, Chairman of Maison Gattinoni, and prominent Vietnamese fashion editors, like Ms Thien Huong, Editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar, and Ms Thi Thu Ha Nguyen, Editor in chief of Elle Vietnam, gathered to celebrate the success of VIFW ss2018.
The participation of Maison Gattinoni to the VIFW ss208 also offered the opportunity for Mr Stefano Dominella and for Consul General Dante Brandi to lay the foundations of a “creativity club”, an Italian-Vietnamese project for fashion and cultural exchange. Through the cooperation between design and fashion institutions of the two countries, potential opportunities will be presented to Vietnamese designers to showcase their capsule collection in Rome and, vice-versa, to selected Italian designers to showcase their collections in a vibrant and dynamic fashion market like Vietnam.
