Today, Italy celebrates National Unity and Armed Forces Day, commemorating 4 November 1918, the date on which the Armistice of Villa Giusti came into effect, marking the end of the First World War and the completion of Italy’s national unification process.
On this day, we honour the memory of all the Fallen, whose sacrifice helped build a united, free, and democratic Italy.
We express our profound gratitude to the men and women of the Armed Forces, who, with dedication, courage, and a strong sense of duty, serve our Nation every day—both in Italy and abroad—contributing to international security, peace, and the protection of the fundamental values of our Republic.
To all of them, our most sincere thanks and best wishes.
A special word of appreciation goes to Appuntato Scelto Q.S. Gaetano Buglisi for his exemplary daily commitment in serving the Consulate General, his team, and the Italian community.
With respect, gratitude, and pride.
