Consul General Alessandra Tognonato visited My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Quang Nam Province and one of Vietnam’s most important archaeological sites. She was welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, Mrs. Van Thi Cam Tu, Deputy Director, and Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Head of the Conservation Department, who outlined ongoing conservation efforts.

For over 30 years, Italy has contributed to the preservation of My Son through the work of the Lerici Foundation, supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This longstanding partnership has advanced archaeological research, conservation and the valorisation of this unique heritage site.

Beyond monument restoration, the collaboration promotes a sustainable approach to heritage management, linking conservation with responsible tourism and local community development—an effective model of international cooperation in safeguarding cultural heritage.
