Cari Connazionali, dear Friends of Italy,
it is a great honor for me to take up the role of Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Chi Minh City, recently expanded into a vast metropolitan area with over ten million inhabitants, is the economic heart of Vietnam: a city brimming with energy, innovation, and human warmth. Vietnam, with its rapid growth, is today Italy’s leading trading partner in ASEAN and a strategic hub for global exchanges, as recently underlined by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani (Diplomacy of Growth – Destination Vietnam).
In this context, my key priorities are: working in close synergy with the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and with the entire Sistema Italia to strengthen our country’s role and image; promoting Made in Italy and Italian excellence in the economic, scientific-technological, academic, and cultural fields; and supporting our enterprises—from major corporations to startups—in seizing the opportunities offered by the Vietnamese market, particularly in high-tech sectors.
Since 2014, the Consulate General has been fostering and strengthening bilateral relations, building bridges between our communities. I intend to continue this commitment with renewed determination and a spirit of service.
I know I can rely on a dynamic and enterprising Italian community, which contributes every day to spreading a positive image of Italy in Vietnam.
