Consul General Alessandra Tognonato met with Mr. Shehryar Ali Shah, Head of the IFC Office in Ho Chi Minh City, together with Mr. Hayoung Lee (IFC Cluster Lead), Dr. Cao Thang Binh (World Bank Senior Agricultural Specialist), Mr. Hans Dellien (IFC Agrifinance Lead, East Asia and Pacific) and Mr. Weichuan Xu (IFC Country Anchor).
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on shared priorities and areas of mutual interest, with a focus on identifying pathways for enhanced cooperation between Italian companies and the World Bank, and International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private investment arm of the World Bank Group in Central and Southern Vietnam.
Discussions highlighted the role of sustainable investment, agribusiness development and private sector–led solutions in supporting inclusive growth, and laid the groundwork for concrete follow-up actions and future partnerships.
