The central and south-central regions of Vietnam, particularly the coastal provinces from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa (including the city of Da Nang), will soon be affected by Typhoon “Kalmaegi,” bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall, and possible flooding, inundations, and landslides. The impact of the typhoon could be especially severe in those areas (such as the cities and surrounding areas of Quang Tri, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, and Quang Ngai) that are still suffering the consequences of tropical storm “Fengshen.”
It is strongly recommended to exercise the utmost caution, avoiding beaches and sea excursions as well as unnecessary travel in risk areas, to follow the instructions issued by local authorities, and to monitor weather updates through the media.
