On 11th July, the Consul General Dante Brandi participated in the inauguration of the Italian pavilion at the Shoes & Leather Vietnam 2018. Organized by Italian Trade Agency in HCMC and ASSOMAC (the National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leathergoods and Tanning Technologies of Italy), the stand brought together 25 Italian companies in the leather processing sector, where Italy remains the global leader.
The 20th International Leather & Footwear Fair (Shoes & Leather Vietnam 2018) in conjunction with the International Leather Products & Fair, Leather & Shoes Exhibition, and International Sewing Machine Fair hosted by the LEFASO (Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association) took place from 11th to 13th July in Ho Chi Minh City. This year’s exhibition with participation of 700 local and international manufacturers and distributors from 26 countries and regions attracted over 15,000 specialized visitors.
According to Mr. Brandi, this event does show the dynamism of the Vietnamese market and the intense bilateral collaboration in the sector. Manufacturing technology, industry 4.0 and sustainable production: this is one of the paradigms of the Italy-Vietnam strategic partnership.
