The new Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam, Antonio Alessandro, accompanied by Dante Brandi, the Consul General of Italy in HCMC, Mr. Paolo Lemma, Director of Italian Trade Commission and Mr. Michele d’Ercole, Chairman of Italian Chamber of Commerce, paid a visit to Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on his first visit to HCMC upon his credential on January 16th.Amb. Alessandro and Chairman Phong shared the common goal to foster the cooperation between Italy and Ho Chi Minh City, the most dynamic and vibrant Vietnamese city. They agreed to further promote the economic cooperation between the two sides, on priority sectors like infrastructures, smart-cities, including the promotion of local cultural heritage, agribusiness and Italian language and culture.
