Cari Connazionali,\u00a0dear Friends of Italy,<\/p>\n
it\u00a0is a great honor for me to take up the role of Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City.<\/p>\n
Ho Chi Minh City, recently expanded into a vast metropolitan area with over ten million inhabitants, is the economic heart of Vietnam: a city brimming with energy, innovation, and human warmth. Vietnam, with its rapid growth, is today Italy\u2019s leading trading partner in ASEAN and a strategic hub for global exchanges, as recently underlined by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani (Diplomacy of Growth \u2013 Destination Vietnam<\/a>).<\/p>\n In this context, my key priorities are: working in close synergy with the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and with the entire Sistema Italia to strengthen our country\u2019s role and image; promoting Made in Italy and Italian excellence in the economic, scientific-technological, academic, and cultural fields; and supporting our enterprises\u2014from major corporations to startups\u2014in seizing the opportunities offered by the Vietnamese market, particularly in high-tech sectors.<\/p>\n Since 2014, the Consulate General has been fostering and strengthening bilateral relations, building bridges between our communities. I intend to continue this commitment with renewed determination and a spirit of service.<\/p>\n I know I can rely on a dynamic and enterprising Italian community, which contributes every day to spreading a positive image of Italy in Vietnam.<\/p>\n I warmly invite you to follow our activities and engage with us through the official channels of the Consulate General (Instagram<\/a>, Facebook<\/a>, X<\/a>).<\/p>\n Alessandra Tognonato
