The Consulate General of Italy in HCMC proud to be part of the “Farnesina Verde” Project (Italian Green Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation) which aims at reducing the environmental impact of Italian Embassies and Consulates all over the world.<\/p>\n
President Place: A Green Building located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City<\/p>\n
The consulate General of Italy in HCMC is located in the President Place Building, the first work space in HCMC awarded LEED certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Gold Certification) by the U.S. Green Building Council.<\/p>\n
Located in the heart of the city, in District 1, a few steps from the Reunification Palace and the Cathedral, President Place occupies an area of \u200b\u200b11,500 square meters, with thirteen floors and three underground levels.<\/p>\n
The president has a unique design, expressing intwo interconnected volumes. The Cube is the lower volume clad with an elegant horizontal louver system. The Rear and Upper volumes wrap themselves around the cube and has a contrasting yet complimentary cladding system \u2013 a perforated screen expressed in<\/p>\n
Natural materials and Building Management System (BMS) are applied to monitor the building\u2019s operation of all systems including air conditioning, water supply and light.<\/p>\n
Solar control glass minimizes overheating of rooms and at the same time reduces energy loss. The water treatment system is designed for maximum treatment and reuse.<\/p>\n
The 9-zone cooling system adapts according to the temperature of each area of \u200b\u200bthe building. The air filter reduces the CO2 in the building, bringing fresh air into every office, contributing to eexceptional balance between work, life and the environment of users.<\/p>\n
All of these elements would not only minimize the environmental impact but also reduce operational costs for the tenants.<\/p>\n
