The Consul General Alessandra Tognonato has participated today at the Opening Ceremony of Food and Hospitality Vietnam 2026.
One of the most important trade fairs in the food and hospitality industries across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region, the exhibition hosts Italy for the fifth time, with its largest participation so far. The nineteen companies present at the Italian Pavilion organized by the Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with ASSICA (Industrial Association of Meats and Deli Meats) showcase staple Italian products: cheese, with Caseifici Granterre SpA, pasta, with the presence of Cuore del Sud, Divella SpA, La Fabbrica della Pasta di Gragnano, and Stessa Terra, olive oil and vinegar, displayed by Acetaia Bellei, Iagain srl, Isnardi – Ardonio, and Goccia d’Oro, cured meats with Annoni SpA, Ferrarini SpA, Principe di San Daniele, and Salumificio la Torre, wine presented by Cantine Sgarzi Luigi srl, and other items such as truffle-based products, with the presence of Fungo & Tartufo srl, pistacchio-based products with Greenwinline srl, flours, with Molini Valente SpA, canned products, displayed by Wadi El Nile Italia, and snacks with Tedesco slr.

“Italian cuisine, recently recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage because of its cultural and social blend of culinary traditions and global influence, is something we are deeply proud of. But beyond the recognition, it is a way of thinking about food—as culture, as connection, as something to be shared. Cooking as a practice that brings together communities with simple but authentic ingredients is what truly links Italian and Vietnamese cuisine”, emphasized the Consul General Alessandra Tognonato.
Tomorrow, 25th March 2026, the Italian Trade Agency will host a seminar with Ambassador Marco della Seta, ASSICA, and IVSI (Institute for Promotion of Italian Salumi), to present with a tasting the Italian deli meats industry to the registered Vietnamese customers, creating a concrete occasion for building new partnerships.
