The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World 2025: Kick-Off in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, 10 November 2025 — The 10th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (SCIM) officially opens today. The annual initiative, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, celebrates and promotes the excellence of Italian food and wine traditions around the globe.

In Vietnam, the program — supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City — begins with a promotional event organized by Italian Trade Agency Vietnam at Media Market, followed by a series of events dedicated to discovering the flavors and creativity of Italian cuisine:

  • 21 November: Fine dining event in Da Nang, organized by the Consulate General with Chef Alessio Rasom;

  • 25 November: Fine dining gala in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of representatives and leading figures from the business community of southern Vietnam;

  • 1 December: Masterclass (by invitation only), organized by the Consulate General in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) and the Sommelier Association, dedicated to the art of pairing Italian wines with Vietnamese culinary specialties.

Furthermore, authentic Italian special menus will be served in several Italian restaurants in Danang and HCMC.
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is an opportunity to promote the culture of Made in Italy through cuisine, innovation, and food sustainability — strengthening the ties between Italy and Vietnam also at the table.
