HCMC, December 8th, 2020 – The seventh of a series of events running since 2018 in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries, the webinar “Heritage Preservation and Economic Development in ASEAN. A soft-powerful agent to pave the tourism recovery way in SEA” took place in a hybrid way, in presence in #HCMC and in VTC in several cities in Europe, the US and ASEAN county, as meaningful development of the multi-stakeholder dialogue among authorities, academia, private sector to push the envelope on heritage preservation as a driver of economic growth in many sectors, from hospitality to creative industries.
With the support of the @ItalyMFA and @ItalyInHCMC, the contribution of Italian Embassies in ASEAN countries, and the co-organization of #SCEProject-Asia and #Vietcetera, the webinar hosted remarks from prominent speakers such as Enrico Letta, former PM of Italy and Chairman of the #Italy-ASEAN Association, and Michael Croft, UNESCO Vietnam Representative, and was divided in four panels and five keynote presentations, on heritage economy, new trends in hospitality, challenges&opportunities in adaptive reuse and renovation.
