On 14th September 2018, H.E Cecilia Piccioni, Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam paid a farewell courtesy call on HCMC leaders, H.E Nguyen Thien Nhan, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Central Party Committee and H.E Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as well as H.E Truong Tan Sang, Former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam upon the completion of her term in Vietnam.
On this occasion, HCMC’s leaders expressed their appreciation for the successful and strengthen relations between Italy and Vietnam in recent years including the exchange of high level visits, economic, culture and educational cooperation in which Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni had great contributions in this achievement. H.E Nguyen Thien Nhan, H.E Nguyen Thanh Phong and H.E Truong Tan Sang would also conveyed kind regards to Italian people and best wishes for the success and prosperity of Italy in the future. The leaders of HCMC also wish H.E Cecilia Piccioni a success for her new mission.
H.E Cecilia Piccioni in returned thanked to the Government of Vietnam, leaders of HCMC and agencies concerned for the valuable support her during her mission in Vietnam. Ambassador emphasized the importance of the relations between Italy and Vietnam who established the strategic partnership and has 45 years of diplomatic relations. H.E Cecilia Piccioni look forward to the stronger cooperation between Italy and Vietnam, especially HCMC, a dynamic and vibrant city. Ambassador also expressed her love to Vietnam and do hope to come back someday.
