The Italian-Vietnamese guitar duet composed by Lorenzo Bernardi and Huy Thanh Nguyen will perform in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. In this spirit, the Consulate General of Italy and the Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City partnered to organize a guitar recital, performed by Lorenzo Bernardi and Huy Thanh Nguyen, next Tuesday 19th June at 8 p.m. in the Conservatory Hall (112, Nguyen Du, District 1).
The concert will represent a tribute to the tradition of the Italian music through different regions and centuries. From the baroque music of Domenico Scarlatti to the contemporary, Ennio Morricone, the performance will pass through Giacchino Rossini, in the occasion of 150th anniversary of his death.
Huy Thanh Nguyen leads the Guitar department at Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. He has performed in many concerts across cities and provinces of Vietnam and recorded for Ho Chi Minh City Television.
Lorenzo Bernardi graduated at Conservatorio F.A Bonporti in Trento in 2015. After that he attended his Master degree with world famous guitarist Emanuele Buono at Conservatorio Luigi Canepa in Sassari, Sardinia. As a soloist, but also as a member of chamber and orchestra groups, he has participated in numerous events on national and international level such as Italy, Spain, United States of America, Argentina, Bahrain, and Japan where he performed inTokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Fukuoka.
