A business Visa is required for individuals planning to travel to Italy for a short period not exceeding 90 days for business purposes such as business negotiations, contract signings, product testing, professional or technical training, or participation in trade fairs and exhibitions.
Required Documents:
- A completed and signed Visa Application Form.
- One (1) recent ICAO-standard passport-sized photograph (3.5×4.0cm), not digitally altered. Affix one photo to the application form.
- A Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the expiry date of Schengen visa or the intended departure date from the Schengen area and that it was issued within the last ten (10) years. The passport must have at least two consecutive blank pages for the visa and stamps.
- Certificate of stable residency in Vietnam (for non-Vietnamese citizens).
- Return flight booking or ticket.
- Documents from the local Company:

- A copy of the business license authorized and legalized by the Consular Department (40 Tran Phu, Ba Đinh, Ha Noi) or HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs (184 Bis Pasteur Street, District 1, HCMC) or local Department of Foreign Affairs.
- Appointment letters for employees traveling on business.
- Employment contracts.
- Company bank statements for the last three (3) months or confirmation of bank account balance.
- Certificate of company tax payments for the last three (03) months.
- For Service Passport holders, it is required to submit a Verbal Note from the Department for Foreign Affairs.
- and other relevant documents as needed.
- Documents from inviting company:

- A completed and signed invitation letter from the Italian company specifying the trip’s purpose and the duration.
- A copy of “Visura Camerale”(Company registration certificate) of the Italian company.
- A copy of ID or passport of signatory of the invitation letter.
Note: These documents must be sent directly to the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, at hochiminh.visti@esteri.it. Important: Applications will not be accepted without prior email submission of the above mentioned documents.
- Proof of financial means of Support: personal bank account statements from the last three (3) months. Note that bank savings accounts are not acceptable for demonstrating personal income.
- Health insurance covering at least €30,000 for emergency medical expenses and repatriation.
- Proof of accommodation in Italy: hotel reservations or prepaid lodging in Italy.
- A copy of the passport’s identification page (second page), along with any pages containing Schengen or Italian visa stamps.
- Additional Supporting Documents: Applicants may submit any further documentation as needed or requested by the Visa Office.
Note: For trade fair participation in Italy, please provide proof of payment for the exhibition hall or stand.
