HCMC, March 26, 2021 – A series of seminars on Italian culture, organized by the Consulate General of Italy in collaboration with the Department of Italian Language and Culture of the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was launched today. The protagonist of the first meeting of a series of six, which will be completed by the end of the current semester, was Michele D'Ercole, Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), who presented to the students the theme of “The Italian way of doing business”. Open to the expansion towards foreign markets but with solid manufacturing basis, the Italian productive system is spread and welcomed all over the world, including Vietnam, with investments, commercial relations, research, development, economic partnership. Italian companies do share a propensity for a business culture aimed at enhancing human resources, technology transfer and productive improvements, in sectors of traditional strength such as machinery, mechatronics, aerospace, nautical, agri-food, fashion, furniture and many others.

The cycle of seminars, all presented in Italian language, is designed to provide Vietnamese students with a vision of innovative and updated aspects of Italian culture. It is carried out in cooperation with the Italian Department of the USSH, and relies on the coordinating support of Mr. Fabio Cappiello, a professional active in Vietnam in the educational, tourism and culture-mediation sectors, and on the contribution of representatives of the Italian community active in Vietnam, with individual expertise in different sectors, as speakers.
