SEMINAR: FUTURE OF MANUFACTURING/ INDUSTRY 4.0

Industry 4.0 is an evolution or a revolution? What is the technological and digital impact of manufacturing processes? How will the value chain be affected and what are the reflections in the relations between economic systems such as the Italian and Vietnamese, in many respects complementary?
To address these issues, the General Consulate of Italy in HCMC, together with the University of Technology and the Salvagnini group, organized the seminar Future of Manufacturing – Industry 4.0 on November 14 at the HCMC University of Technology headquarters.
Particularly focused on the steel sector, the seminar gave a way to deepen the implications related to the new technology of automation.
The meeting was opened by an intervention of the General Consul of Italy in HCMC Dante Brandi, who indicated the importance of the issue for the Italian and Vietnamese markets, closely interconnected in the strands of technology transfer and the capacity Manufacturing. Therefore, there have been successive speakers and experts in the field of technology, both academic and private sector: the Operations Director of Piaggio Vietnam Daniele Landini, the Executive Vice President of Danieli Automation, Digi & Met Marco Ometto, the head of Marketing department and the head of Process & Application Giovanni Pivetta and Rick Hansson of Salvagnini and the Professors of HCMUT Mai Thanh Phong and Nguyen Tan Tien.
The seminar was a great success for the public and the press.
