THE REGGIO CHILDREN APPROACH IN VIETNAM

A partnership with Italy is born for the educational future of young Vietnamese. The Embassy Education Group is coming alive on October 10th in Ho Chi Minh City, a project conceived by the Soul Music & Performing Arts Academy of the Vietnamese-australian artist Thanh Bui, in collaboration with the Italian Foundation Reggio Children. The ambition is to change the Vietnamese educational paradigm by encouraging creativity, critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning of young students.

The educational method from which it takes inspiration is the Reggio Emilia Approach, born and developed in Italy and became a real international pedagogical best practice.

To seal this cultural partnership, the 10th of October will be presented for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City the International Reggio Children exhibition and Atelier: Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material.

A collection of works made by girls and boys enrolled in the schools of Reggio Emilia, which will be illustrated and inaugurated by a delegation of Reggio Children led by president Claudia Giudici and composed by the teacher Marina Castagnetti and the curator Filippo Chieli. There will be also the presence of the Italian Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni and the General Consul in Ho Chi Minh City Dante Brandi.

The pedagogues of Reggio Emilia will also be among the international caliber speakers of the Forum Seed & Spark Summit Creative Education organized on the days of 11 and 12 October.

It will deepen the educational issues, pedagogical challenges and learning tools for the new generations, facing a world that is constantly changing because of globalization and new technologies.
